I used to have super long hair.
It was ridiculously thick and curly.
Then GHDs were invented and my life changed forever – well at least my hair did.
And 10 years ago a hairdresser decided, “Your hair’s too long to be straightening it every day” and chopped it off. Thanks for that.
My mother in law, bless her, just LOVES to give me ‘stuff’. She has 3 boys and would have loved a girl so when I started dating Mark she got so excited to be girly. ‘Do you like handbags? I like handbags? Do you like shoes? I like shoes,” and she would just give me all sorts freebie beauty products she got from department stores. I’m not really a girly girl so I know I should have been grateful but I just wouldn’t use any of it.
So when she gave me some Liz Earle samples she got from QVC I was not expecting much. (She loves everything from QVC, it’s become a bit of a family joke!) I’d never heard of the brand and I had the impression that things from QVC are a bit naff, based on what I saw the MIL buying. “You can pay in instalments you know!”
